I am an award winning professional photographer specialising in creative corporate, editorial, public relations (PR) and portrait photography. Based in Edinburgh, I work across Scotland and the UK.
I am an expert in lighting techniques and have extensive knowledge of the media industry.
But I don't hide behind lights and equipment. Taking a good picture is as much about people skills as about technical ability. Perhaps it's my background - I used to be a teacher - that helps me get the best out of the subject.
I also work quickly. I get the picture and send it out fast - to the client and the media. Images can be wired to national and regional press within minutes. And I know what picture editors are looking for. I began work as a staff photographer for the Scotsman Publications, providing high quality images to Edinburgh Evening News, The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday.

As the official photographer for Homecoming Scotland 2009, I have been documenting events across the length and breadth of Scotland. In August this year I was the official photographer for the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
