The annual Best Christmas Tree competition always throws up some friendly rivalry between Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle.
This year I was commissioned to make a film showing the decoration of the tree at Edinburgh Castle. This meant an early start to capture the tree being delivered to the castle and carried into the Great Hall before being decorated by castle staff. I filmed the process with three different cameras; 2 shooting timelape from different angles and a third camera which I used for close ups.
Happy to report that the Edinburgh Castle tree won the competition with 60% of the public vote.
