My Place Awards 2026 – Take A Bow Kilmarnock

Earlier this year I spent a day with Take A Bow in Kilmarnock to make a film for the Scottish Civic Trust’s My Place Awards. Take A Bow carried out some fantastic work in Kilmarnock which benefits the whole community and the refurbishment of the local community centre was recognised with a Regeneration Award. Well done to all involved.

The awards are the Scottish Civic Trust’s annual celebration of the difference local communities can make to their built and natural environment. Supported by the Scottish Government, their aim is to bring proper recognition to individuals and projects that have had a positive impact in a local neighbourhood and have delivered positive benefits to that community.
